CHRIS HIPWELL CFO & Company Secretary
Chris Hipwell joins the Verticon Group after spending the past 6 years in financial controller roles with Ericsson, Capcom UK and Ausdoc. Prior to this Chris spent 4 years at William Buck Chartered Accountants. Chris holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
GRAHAM HADLEY Group Manager – Hoists
Graham has 36 years experience in supplying all facets of hoisting to the construction, industrial and mining industries. 27 years as the co-owner and founder of Conrent Pty Ltd. Following the sale of the Conrent business in January 2000 to Coates Hire, Graham took on the role of National Manager for Coates Conrent. Graham's expertise in all hoisting aspects makes him a valuable member of the Verticon team. Graham is responsible for the management of hoists on a state level and the management of the administration, marketing and sales teams.
TONY MARINO Group Manager – Occupational Health, Safety & Environment Manager
Tony has 38 years experience in the building and construction industry, including the last 18 years in OHS Environmental Management. He was previously OHSE Manager for Multiplex Group. He was instrumental in achieving and maintaining OHSE Certification on the Australian Southern Region and New Zealand operations. He also acted as an advisor for Multiplex UK & Middle East. Tony brings both practical and systems knowledge to Verticon and is Chairman of the Victorian Construction Safety Alliance (VCSA).
RANDALL ECKERT State Manager – QLD
Randall has over 20 years experience in the construction industry and has a proven track record in managing sales and service based companies with multi sites supplying to the building and construction industries. Randall has held several senior national roles in premixed concrete, quarries, civil contracting, sales & marketing, logistics and facilities management. Prior to joining Verticon Randall was the General Manager at Adelaide Brighton for two years and held several general management roles at Queensland Cement over a seven year period. Randall holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA.
JASON HOTOP State Manager – NSW (Tower Cranes)
Jason was formerly the General Manager of Fire Up Cranes & Rigging before they were acquired by Verticon in 2005. Jason has many years experience in all aspects of material handling focusing on tower cranes, hoists, mobile cranes and mast climbers including rigging, operations, fleet management, OH&S, labour management, sales and the administration.
MARK HARDIE State Manager – NSW (Hoists)
Mark joins the Verticon team with over 10 years experience in the hoisting industry, having worked originally as the Sales Engineer for Coates Conrent and later as their NSW State Manager. Over the last couple of years Mark has been the NSW Regional General Manager of Royal Wolf Australia, managing a team in excess of 50 personnel spread over 6 branches and two production facilities. Holding a degree in Mechanical Engineering and full membership in the institute of Engineers Australia, he has designed and certified well over 100 hoist installations thoughout Australia.
HAMISH PEAT State Manager – VIC
Hamish worked with Multiplex Constructions for 4 years as Construction Supervisor then Site Manager in both Melbourne and New Zealand. In September 2006 Hamish moved to Verticon NZ as Operations Manager responsible for the North Island tower crane and crawler crane business. Following the sale of Verticon NZ to Lewis Equipment in December 07, Hamish took over the role as General Manager for Lewis equipment NZ. Hamish has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) from RMIT Melbourne.
